Zoe Pleads for Good Dental Hygiene

Let me tell you a sad realization that struck me at one point in my life. Some people do not know that we, dogs, also need a good and healthy set of teeth combined with a fresh breath just like them. Sometimes they take their dog’s dental hygiene for granted. It seems that they are not even aware that maintaining good dental hygiene for dogs is an essential task to keep in mind at all times.

Hey folks! I know that you are not one of the people that I am talking about. But if you are, then you have come to an ideal place. For today, I will be discussing about several valuable information on how to take care of your dog’s teeth.

So how do I plead for a good dental hygiene? There are many ideal steps to do it. One of the basics of having a healthy dental hygiene for your dogs, just like humans, is brushing their teeth. This is the most effective way on maintaining their teeth strong and free from having loose or abscess. Abscess teeth are the broken ones, presenting with swollen gums.

Brushing your dog’s teeth can also prevent the build up of bad breath. Yes! Dogs do have bad breath! Imagine your dog trying to lick your face (Folks, that’s my way of showing my Dad how I care for him) with a very bad breath? That is true; dogs can have bad breath because bacteria are simply building up inside the mouth when they are not cleaned. At the top of this, you can have your dog’s teeth brushed once or twice a week.

Aside from brushing the teeth, you can give something for your dogs to chew on. These could be in the form of hard bones or hard toys. Providing them also with dry dog foods and hard dog biscuits can also help on maintaining good dental hygiene.

Together with your dog, you can schedule a veterinarian visit. You are not required to do this monthly but this is something that you should never forget, even at least once a year. Like dentists, veterinarians are good in determining your dog’s dental problem, if there is any. They can give you relevant advice on the dos and don’ts on how to care for your dog’s teeth as well as giving you some dental attention in case there are problems.

Peeps, I promise you more of dental issues on my next set of articles. I’ll be discussing some of the most important ones, the topics with the most concerns, so please watch out for these articles. Just like what I am always saying, see you there! LOL…
