Welcome to Zoe's Back Yard!

Hi, I'm Zoe ...

Zoe's Back Yard!I'm so happy you decided to drop by and see what's going on in my back yard. I'm a 5 1/2 year old miniature Beagle and I am the very lucky little girl of my people parents, Wendy and Mick.

My folks love me so very much, they take me almost every place with them. So I thought it would be fun to share some of my adventures with you. We also play a lot in my back yard, and this year we planted lots of flowers, so I'll be bringing you some of those photos.

I am also a very happy pampered pup, and my mom makes me treats, so I'll be showing you how we do that in our little kitchen, too.

I think we'll have lots of fun things to share with you so check in with us often.

I would love to hear from you and your people parent, so feel free to let us know what's going on in your back yard! Have a great day!!!

Your new friend...

Selecting the Right Dog Breed for Your Family

Owning a dog is a wonderful thing. Not only do dogs provide lasting companionship and unconditional love, they’ve even been known to lower blood pressure and reduce stress. And of course, a dog will make sure you get out and take walks every day. Living with a dog has also been known to boost the social skills and confidence of children and adults alike.

But, deciding what kind of dog to get is as important as deciding whether to get a dog in the first place. Each breed has its own unique temperament, appearance, activity level and set of needs. You should do some serious and careful research to determine which breed of dog is right for you and your family.

From large and quiet to small and rambunctious, dogs come in all shapes and sizes, and not all breeds are the same. Some dogs need more exercise, some breeds require more grooming, while others may do very well living outdoors. Some dogs are great for apartments, and others need a little more space to feel comfortable in your family.

So before you make the decision to bring home a new best friend, check out some of the characteristics that many families feel are important when determining which breed might be best for you and your family.
